Written in the last days of 2020 as a look back at my part in our shared pandemic experience; All the days go by, and here I am alone. I spent the last year isolated on a farm, living off the grid, and in pandemic times it feels like watching the days go by. My cello tribute attempts to capture that cyclic quality, amid a soulful sophisticated blues, and a self-accompanying alone-ness all to familiar from this past year. This piece was born for a remote collaboration.
